Acceptable Use Policy

What the service may be used for — and the few things that will get an account closed.

Use it for research

ASOsight exists so you can understand App Store demand, competition and your own performance. Using it for your own products, for clients you consult for, or for investment research is all fine.

Stay inside your plan

Each plan states its limits: keyword lookups, tracked keyword–market pairs, connected apps, seats and research credits. Sharing one account across several businesses to avoid seat or app limits is not fine — upgrade instead.

Do not automate the interface to pull data faster than a person would, and do not run the product through scripts or scrapers. If you need programmatic access, ask us.

Do not redistribute the dataset

Reports, exports and figures are for use inside your business and with your clients. Republishing them as a dataset, reselling them, or building a competing product on top of them is not permitted.

Public App Store data remains subject to Apple's own terms; nothing here grants you rights to Apple's content beyond your own use of this product.

Do not attack the service

No attempts to break authentication, reach another organisation's data, overload the service, or reverse-engineer it. No malware, no probing beyond good-faith security research reported to [email protected].

Nothing unlawful

Do not use the service to infringe intellectual property, to harass anyone, to process data you have no right to process, or in breach of sanctions and export controls.

What happens if you cross a line

Usually we email you first and ask you to stop, because most problems are accidents. Serious or repeated breaches end in suspension or closure, and we may refund the unused part of your period when we close an account this way.
